My Couponing Journey
I have spent quite a bit of time re-evaluating whether or not I am accomplishing my goal through this blog. There is a lot of work involved in keeping things up to date. As a mother of two, it’s been getting harder and harder to manage the site and keep up on other responsibilities. I have slowly faced the fact that I don’t have the time to make the site what all I want it to be.
So….I have made the tough decision to re-focus my time and energy away from blogging and more and my passion which is planning and teaching couponing classes. I would still love for you to e-mail me anytime with any questions you have about couponing and saving money. Please contact me at info@printablecouponsblog.com if I can help you in any way!
Also, I am still available for classes in the Indianapolis area. Check out more details on the classes I provide here.
Thanks for your understanding and your support over the last 18 months of Simple Couponing! I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to know you.

Basics of Couponing – Part 1
When I started learning about couponing last March, I was reading so much about how to coupon and felt overwhelmed very quickly. There is a lot of information out there. Sound familiar?
I decided that I was going to stick with it and take it one step at a time. The thing that kept me going was getting one or two awesome deals here and there.
I started to “get it” and the whole process became a little easier. We needed to find a way to save money and I was determined to try every suggestion out there to do just that within our grocery budget. I was tired of leaving the grocery store discouraged by how much we were spending.
Through the process, I realized there are 3 main things you need to do to get the most out of couponing. Can you save money by only doing one or even 2 of these things?
Yes……but I really believe you won’t see the drastic savings you are probably looking for until you do all three. Over the next week or so, I plan to dive into each of these in more detail to help you better understand each one.
Matching coupons with store sales
-Wait for the time when the item is at its cheapest before you use the coupon to buy it.
Know the policies of your local stores
-Does your store offer store coupons that you can stack with manufacturer coupons?
-Do they double coupons?
Stockpile…stockpile…stockpile
-Stock up enough product to last you until the next sale.
